Some RM125,000 was contributed by the state government of Perak to the State Education Department for the preparation of learning and teaching at home (PdPR) studios at all district education offices in the state.
According to the Menteri Besar of Perak Dato’ Saarani Mohamad, the initiative is under the Cikgu Saarani Tuition Programme.
“It’s meant to assist fellow educators in providing a medium for the purpose of PdPR, which has become the new normal due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Besides that, the studio can be utilised for briefing sessions and e-sport activities,” he explained in an online media session via Zoom today (July 28).
Present to receive the mock cheque was the department’s director, Dr Mohd Suhaimi Mohamed Ali.
Executive Councillors Khairul Shahril Mohamed and Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud were also in attendance.
Meanwhile, another RM10,000 mock cheque was contributed to the department for implementation of the 2021 Perak School Sports Council eChallenge, involving 24 types of online sports games.
