14 Compounded for Travelling Inter-district Without Complete Vaccination

The loosened restrictions for those fully vaccinated in states under Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan such as Perak should not be abused.

The police have had to issue a compound of RM1,500 to 14 individuals who crossed inter-district borders without complete vaccination.

In addition, all of them did not possess permission letters to cross districts during the inspection at the roadblock (SJR).

State police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said all the offenses were recorded since August 10.

“Not only do they not have a permission letter, they also have yet to complete their COVID-19 vaccinations.

“One was also compounded for failing to present evidence of vaccination with the excuse of not bringing a mobile phone,” he said.

He highlighted the matter at a press conference after the National Month Celebration with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) at the Perak PDRM Senior Officers’ Mess yesterday (August 20).

The ceremony was officiated by the Executive Councillor for Youth, Sports, Communication and Multimedia, Khairul Shahril Mohamed.

According to Mior Faridalathrash, a compound was also issued for a ‘dine-in’ offense after a customer dined at an eatery without being fully vaccinated.
