Based on a request from Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, the Lions Club of Ipoh Evergreen swung into action by donating a hot and cold-water dispenser, drinks and food for the frontliners at the hospital.
Speaking to the media, Club President Sylvia Lee said, “The medical personnel at the emergency unit handling rising cases of COVID-19 patients have little time to walk to the canteen for their refreshments. The dispenser, drinks and snacks are our club’s way of saying thank you to the hospital staff for the hard work they do.”
Donated were a contracted hot & cold dispenser with water supply for six months, 480 cans of energy drinks sponsored by Allexcel Trading Sdn.Bhd (Red Bull Malaysia), 600 sachets of white coffee from Ipoh Home’s Cafe, instant cup noodles, instant cereal and biscuits. More items will be provided in the coming days. Present at the handover with Sylvia were club members Alan Ng and Amy Chen.
Sylvia appealed to caring companies to provide similar support as a small way to bring cheer to the frontliners. Those interested to donate can do so through the Lions Club by contacting Alan Ng at 016-5651760.
