The police of Perak advised members of the public to refrain from engaging in any vehicle convoys while the country is in the midst of the fight against COVID-19.
State police chief, Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said that any application for convoys from both individuals and/or groups will not be approved.
“As one of the authorities caring over the public’s safety during the ongoing pandemic, we don’t endorse such activity as it’ll undoubtedly lead to SOP non-compliance and failure to practice physical distancing.
“We would also like to advise the public to avoid organising any gatherings and engaging in convoys in the duration of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) until it’s deemed safe to do so.
“The police appreciate cooperation from all parties to cease transmission of COVID-19 in the state and the country in general.”
He explained in a statement dated today (August 31).
