The public now has the opportunity to enjoy the #TravelPerakLah Phase I-III voucher discount which was relaunched by Tourism Perak to revive the state’s tourism industry.
Executive Councillor for Housing, Local Government and Tourism, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Dato’ Mohammed Radzi said the relaunch would indirectly help hotel and homestay operators in mobilising the local economy which has been in decline since March 2020.
“The period of use and redemption of #TravelPerakLah Phase I-III vouchers launched on July 1, 2020 has been extended until June 2022. This voucher involves discounts covering various tourist destinations, accommodation and travel packages.
“A total of 125 industry players comprising hotel operators, tourism product operators and registered travel agencies will receive this voucher for distribution.
“This initiative is further simplified with an improved redemption method to attract more tourists from outside Perak,” she said in a press conference after the Relaunch of #TravelPerakLah Phase I-III Vouchers and the Virtual Launch of #TravelPerakLah Phase IV Vouchers today (August 31).
Nolee also launched the #TravelPerakLah Phase IV Tourism Vouchers in preparation for the announcement of the full opening of the tourism sector in Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan.
The Phase IV travel vouchers are more focused on the 78 spa operators registered under the Perak Spa Entrepreneurs Association and 35 travel agency companies under the Umrah, Hajj and Pilgrimage Association (PUHAZ).
“This voucher initiative is expected to run from October 1, 2021 to June 2022. Tourists can obtain the vouchers via the spa managers and registered travel agencies, subject to terms and conditions.
