A total of 300 needy entrepreneurs in Perak received contributions of tablets and internet data plans from the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk) in an effort to help boost their business digitally.
In a statement, MAIPk said the tablet and internet data plan assistance is one of MAIPk’s efforts to speed up the community’s economy through the Special Fund for Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0 which was announced previously.
According to the statement, this assistance is also a caring effort of MAIPk after listening to the grievances and difficulties of traders among the needy who find it difficult to market their products during the MCO.
“A total of RM295,882 has been spent for this programme, of which RM231,000 were for tablets while RM64,882 were for a three-month internet data plan.
“It is also hoped that these entrepreneurs can exchange information together because the world of business digitisation is constantly changing,” said the statement.
The presentation of tablet donation was held symbolically involving 10 recipients and was completed by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Development) of MAIPk, Wan Maizura Wan Zahari.
