AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 at Jalan Pasir Puteh is temporarily closed to carry out disinfection work due to several positive COVID-19 cases detected at the premises.
The closure order was issued by the Kinta District Health Department and begins today (September 21).
The management of AEON Co (M) Berhad in a statement said that a comprehensive disinfection and sanitation procedure will be carried out after obtaining advice from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).
“Close contact tracing is being carried out by the MOH while sanitation and cleaning work will be done during the closure.
“Staff who tested positive for the virus are also currently undergoing quarantine while further screening tests will be performed on other staff,” the statement said.
Following the closure, the supermarket is also temporarily suspending its online platform. All orders placed after Wednesday, September 22, will be cancelled.
According to the statement, AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 will remain closed until further notice.
