The operation of the vaccination centre (PPV) of the North Brigade General Operations Force (PGA) Clinic in Ulu Kinta Camp has officially ended with a record of 19,444 vaccine recipients served.
The clinic PPV officially closed last Friday (October 22) after operating for three months to aid the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).
Deputy Commander of North Brigade PGA, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Noh Khamis explained that the operation of the PPV provided exposure to the clinic staff members who are also PGA personnel, as well as the implementation of outreach programmes for the local community.
“The outreach programmes involved four Orang Asli settlements.
“This is a collaboration of the PPV with the staff of Tanjung Rambutan Health Clinic and Chemor Health Clinic,” he said.
Besides providing vaccination to the brigade’s personnel and the police, the PPV also completed the vaccination for other frontliners such as the fire brigade, the Malaysia Civil Defence Force and the Ipoh City Council (MBI).
Over 200 Foodpanda and GrabFood delivery riders who are residents of Ulu Kinta also received their vaccination there via a cooperation between MBI and the PPV.
