Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar during his speech in an event in Kota Bharu, Kelantan urged the people to continue complying with all the set standard operating procedures (SOPs).
According to him, there are only two states still under Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (PPN), namely Kelantan and Sarawak, compared to others which have transitioned into Phase 4.
“I know the people are already restless and do not want to put on face masks. At the moment, the bed usage for COVID-19 patients has also dropped to 40%.
“If we continue to abide by the SOPs, fight the COVID-19 virus collectively and appreciate the sacrifice of the frontliners, we can win,” he stressed.
He said so during a health clinic project presentation at Penambang, Kota Bharu yesterday.
Perak in addition to Perlis, Pulau Pinang, Sabah and Kedah are to transition into Phase 4 beginning this Monday.
It was following the current risk assessment done by the Ministry of Health (KKM) and National Security Council (MKN).
