Booster Shot Registration to Open on November 22
Malaysians can now register for an appointment for their booster shot at www.protecthealth.com.my starting November 22.
Registrations can also be done through walk-in, email or phone call to private health facilities/private clinics that serve as a vaccination center (PPV).
The COVID-19 Promoter Immunisation Task Force-Booster (CITF-B) said in a statement that the implementation is to prevent a long waiting period for those who are eligible to take booster jabs.
According to CITF-B, the initiative is the government’s effort to ensure there is no wastage of vaccines.
One will be placed on a waiting list and contacted by the assigned clinic if there is an empty slot due to absence or cancellation of the other party’s vaccination appointment.
Note that presently, priority will be given to frontliners, pregnant women, individuals aged 40 and above, individuals aged 18 and above with comorbidities, as well as those traveling abroad.
Those eligible for the appointment registration are:
- Individuals who have not received their first two doses of the vaccine
- Teenagers aged 12 to 17, who have not completed their vaccinations
- Those who want to be vaccinated before their appointment
- Those eligible for a booster jab
