A total of 285 retirees and soon-to-be retirees of various schemes and grades who have served under the Ministry of Health in Perak was celebrated by the State Health Department via an appreciation ceremony at Casuarina Meru Hotel recently.
It was aimed to honour and appreciate the contributions of the retirees and soon-to-be retirees of the year.
Dato’ Dr. Ding Lay Ming, the State Health Director stated in her speech, “Retirement is not the end of the road, it is the beginning of the open highway.”
“If all this while we have gotten used to busyness at the office, I hope we continue to practise an active lifestyle in addition to taking care of our health and food intake,” she said.
She advised all to make full use of their retirement, whether to have a healthy rest, spend quality time with beloved family or to participate in communal activities to give back to society.
There were performances galore, presented by staff members of the State Health Department and the General Hospital.
