Tourism Perak is currently promoting Perak as a destination for motoring tourism and making the state the choice for riders.
The Perak Tour Programme, for example, involves about 26 high-power motorcycles which will tour nine major districts in a convoy.
CEO of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa said the programme is in conjunction with the Perak Tourism Campaign, #TravelPerakLah and the Motoring Safety Campaign.
According to her, it involves the Rawyell Riders motorcycle club.
“The programme also receives cooperation from a motorcycle club in Kuala Lumpur, namely Throttle Riot, and the tour is sponsored by Petron as the official fuel sponsor.
“The route of Perak Tour will cross nine districts in Perak with several rest stops at places of tourism attractions.
She said so in her speech before flagging the participants off at the premises of Sunway Lost World Of Tambun (SLWOT).
Present was the General Manager of SLWOT, Nurul Nuzairi Mohd. Azahar.
Throughout the tour, the participants will also interact with the local community and distribute safety brochures on motoring.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Rawyell Ipoh, Muhammad Yusoff Muhammad Noor stated that the programme receives sponsorship from local entrepreneurs such as Miker Pizza, Rockabilly Barber, Jogentor, Mr.Ji Mall and Konda Kondi.
Other sponsors include Oi Garage, Printhink, Glamping Sumpitan, Café Villa Tok Janggut and Guan How Superbike.
“Utmost gratitude to the Council Member of Ipoh City Council, Datuk Mazlan Abdul Rahman who also contributed.
“All participants will spend a night at Sumpitan Glamping while the programme will end at the Ipoh Town Hall,” Yusoff added.
