One vehicle is believed to be buried in a landslide incident along Jalan Simpang Pulai – Cameron Highlands in the afternoon.
A spokesperson of the state fire and rescue department operations centre stated that an emergency call regarding the incident was received at 1.44pm.
According to the spokesperson, a team of personnel with machinery from the Simpang Pulai Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the location of the incident.
Upon arrival, it was found that the landslide had blocked the main route to Cameron Highlands.
“Early information found that there is a vehicle trapped and there is a victim in the vehicle.”
Rescue works are ongoing at the location, led by Operational Commander, Senior Fire Officer II Johari Muhamad.
