Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan Pioneers State Development in the Upcoming 10 Years

The state development in the upcoming 10 years is planned comprehensively via the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan launched on March 29.

Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said the development plan is based on three main principles: inclusivity, pragmatism and achievability, with the overall planning to be completed by February next year.

According to him, the first phase has been carried out via engagement sessions with government agencies and two series of workshops.

“The second phase involved engagement sessions with members of state government administration and state assemblymen (ADUN). 

“The mapping process and streamlining of the existing development plans with the Pembangunan Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan have also been carried out. It is currently in phase three, involving engagement with parties at a district level,” he explained.

He said so when answering the question of Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (Bersatu-Chenderiang) during the state assembly sitting today.

Menteri Besar mentioned that phase 4 involves the preparation of a surveillance plan and the final plan draft, both which are expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2022. 

“The plan is in line with the vision of ‘Prosperous Perak, Peaceful People’ (Perak Makmur, Rakyat Sejahtera) which aims to drive a sustainable, inclusive and dynamic socio economic development,” he added.
