Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) expresses condolences following the death of a technician at the popular theme park.
“We wish to express condolences to the family of the victim and our priority at the moment is to provide full support to them,” the theme park explained in a media statement dated yesterday (December 14).
The statement added that the incident is still under the investigation of authorities and the theme park is ready to cooperate by providing any information and assistance needed.
It was reported yesterday that a technician had died from electric shock at the water theme park at about 12.45 noon on Sunday.
Following that, the Director of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (JKKP) of Perak, Supian Alias said the victim had fallen into the water and was found in a weak state by his colleague.
“The incident involved a male worker who is a local of 25 years old.
“JKKP Perak has sent a team of officers to investigate the case.”
According to Supian, preliminary investigation found that the victim had worked as a technician at the water theme park for four years.
“During the incident, the victim was performing maintenance work on a spotlight near one of the swimming pool areas at the water theme park.
“The victim was confirmed dead at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital at 1.48 noon on the same day,” he said.
