How often do you get to take a selfie by the sea?
There are 26 new OOTD (outfit-of-the-day) spots that you can explore while waiting for your ferry to Pangkor Island at the Marina Island Jetty Complex. Can’t think of what post to share on your social media? You can head to the island for their new 26 ‘Instaloka’ spots!
You must wonder: who came up with such a brilliant idea?
The concept was the brainchild of Ding Mei Looi, CEO for Marina Island Group. She is confident that the newly added tourist attraction can help revive the tourism industry in Manjung and bring more patrons to Pangkor Island.
“This adversity has put us all in extreme distress. It’s a known fact that the pandemic has badly damaged the tourism industry. I hope InstaLoka can encourage people to travel domestically and boost more tourists,” she said.
Thankfully, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) and Tourism Malaysia, Marina Island Pangkor as the main catalyst for the tourism sector in Manjung has taken the initiative to introduce InstaLoka as a new holiday destination for visitors.
This move also reinvigorates recreational activities, tourism and local attractions in Marina Island, Pangkor Island, Lumut and the surrounding areas.
Don’t know what to do at the waiting area? You can enjoy these OOTD spots to pass the time. It is well ventilated as it is open air.
Apart from the new outfit-of-the-day spots, there are other activities one can do. Keep an eye on these activities: kayaking, paddle boating at salt water lagoons and also giant grouper fish feeding.
But how about the place to stay? Check out Marina Island Pangkor Resort & Hotel, Homestay@Tiara Bay Villa or RockBund Fishing Chalets.
Take note, fishing kakis (fishing enthusiasts), Rockbund Fishing Chalets is the place for you to fish! You can cast out that fishing pole and bait a fish, sit back and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
If you are feeling hungry, there are many options to choose from, the food outlets are abundant, or you can have your dinner by the sea. That is for you to explore, just take a walk down the street.
InstaLoka features works of art in four themes in contrast to a variety of colorful installations and designed 2D and 3D mural art specially by talented local artists.
The four themes include Pemerkasaan Positif dalam Seni Kreatif Moden (Positive Empowerment in Modern Creative Art), Kebebasan daripada COVID-19 (Freedom From COVID-19), Budaya Malaysia yang Berdiversiti (Colourful Malaysian Culture) and Kehidupan Ceria (Vibrant Life).
