Internationally-acclaimed Malaysian actress, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh and philanthropist, Tan Sri Vincent Tan spent their Christmas holidays this year by going on site to help flood victims at Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam.
“We empathize with the fate that befell the flood victims recently and it is our responsibility to help.
“Today I witnessed people from all walks of life from all over Malaysia coming forward regardless of religion, ethnicity or nationality to help the flood victims,” the Ipoh-born actress said.
“Although today is a public holiday in conjunction with Christmas, members of the public help out wherever they can. This is the admirable Malaysian Family spirit,” she said after the clean-up activity at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Sri Muda.
According to a news report on social media yesterday, both personalities joined the post-flood clean-up works together with a team of 502 Territorial Army under the 4th Malaysian Infantry Division (4 Div), Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Malaysia Foundation.
