Perak Man Art Trail and Salleh Ismail Solo Exhibition Highlight Local Artists
One cannot master smart technology without the presence of human creativity. This is because creativity is a form of art to enhance human life.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said that whether we realise it or not, the concept of creativity no longer just centres around the beauty of an art creation.
According to him, the creative concept now extends to technological advancement and how art educates people about creativity.
“The Fourth Industrial Revolution is based on knowledge and smart technology covering electronic engineering, genetics engineering and neurotechnology.
“Creativity is no longer only about artwork, it has become a problem-solving concept at work and in life.”
He said in his speech when officiating the Perak Man Art Trail and Salleh Ismail Solo Exhibition at Casuarina Meru Hotel in Ipoh yesterday.
The exhibition features a total of 30 local painters and also those from Kuala Lumpur under the coordination of Persatuan Pelukis Perak in collaboration with Tourism Perak, the National Art Gallery and Lembaga Muzium Negeri Perak.
The Menteri Besar added that the exhibition, inspired by the Perak Man, is a source of pride as it is a state heritage treasure.
The uniqueness of Perak Man has placed Lenggong Valley on the global archaeological map and attracts more tourists there.
“Well done to the Persatuan Pelukis Perak for gathering a community of painters in a noble effort.
“It is very special as the display is held together with the solo exhibition of Salleh Ismail who coincidentally hailed from the same village as I.
“This exhibition depicts his artistic journey of over 50 years. Congratulations!” he stated.
