The Perak media fraternity lost a friend when writer and blogger, Diana Yeoh Pek Hoon passed away yesterday due to a heart attack.
Fondly known as Diana, the late Yeoh who was in her late 50s had a friendly personality and was well-loved by many.
The amiable Yeoh would never fail to extend warm greetings to colleagues when met during work assignments.
Besides having a legal background, she had a passion for writing especially on topics of travel and lifestyle.
In addition to serving as a part-time lecturer at a private university in Ipoh, she participated actively in the activities of the Perak Media Sports and Welfare Club.
Yeoh is a familiar name in the print media as her wealth of experience included a career as a journalist for New Straits Times.
Her passion in the field led her to start up her own blog, travelcolour.blogspot.my, which covered various topics concerning tourism and the community.
One of the most active local bloggers featuring aspects of state tourism, she was awarded the Best Tourism Feature Writer (Print Media) Award from Tourism Perak (2017), Tourism Malaysia’s Best Travel Media Buddy (2019) and Best Tourism Singapore Article (2007) among others.
