Beginning March 1, adult close contacts who are boosted and asymptomatic no longer need to undergo quarantine.
Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar in a recent media conference said that if the individual is fully vaccinated but has yet to be boosted, he or she needs to undergo quarantine for five days whether symptomatic or not.
“However, unvaccinated individuals or individuals with incomplete vaccination need to undergo quarantine for seven days whether symptomatic or not.
“For individuals under the age of 18 with complete vaccination, they need to undergo quarantine for five days while those unvaccinated or with incomplete vaccination will need to undergo seven days of quarantine.
Previously, individuals who were close contacts with incomplete vaccination, including those unboosted, were asked to undergo quarantine for seven days.
Meanwhile, boosted individuals who were close contacts only needed to undergo quarantine for five days.
