Perak is set to attract the attention of European businesses after a recent visit by 11 ambassadors from the European Union (EU) to Ipoh.
Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Malaysia, Michalis Rokas, led the work visit involving ambassadors from France, Belgium, Spain, Ireland, Finland, Germany, Romania, Austria, Sweden and Italy.
The delegation was welcomed by Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad at the Perak State Secretariat Office (SUK).
During the visit, the delegation was given a briefing on the investment opportunities in Perak that was presented by several relevant companies.
Among them were InvestPerak, Tourism Perak and the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP).
During the visit, members of the delegation were also brought to some locations of interest around Perak, and the one that awed them was Royal Belum.
Perak is no stranger to European businesses as there are already some major European companies that have branched out here for over 30 years.
Business from Europe certainly is crucial to encourage investment, what with Perak being a state rich with natural resources.
