To ensure that no one is left behind, ProtectHealth is carrying out home vaccinations for the elderly population and the differently abled (OKU) in collaboration with health-related non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
This programme aims to ease the process of getting the booster shots for senior citizens and those with special needs who are unable to go to a vaccination centre (PPV) due to logistical issues among others.
To apply for home vaccination, one can opt for any of the following:
- Call 1700-811-007 (this national hotline operates daily from 9am to 5pm)
- WhatsApp 0126787911 (one will receive a response within 1 to 3 days)
- Apply through the MySejahtera helpdesk application
- Register via the ProtectHealth website at https://vaksincovid.protecthealth.com.my/register_vaccinee
Senior citizens and OKU are advised to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination and booster dose for better self-protection against the virus, especially with the start of Ramadan, by utilising this existing programme.
Incorporated on 19 December 2016, ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd (ProtectHealth) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ProtectHealth Malaysia, established under the Ministry of Health (MOH).
As a not-for-profit company, ProtectHealth coordinates, administers and manages initiatives related to financing healthcare services as mandated by MOH.
“ProtectHealth, through private medical practitioners and healthcare NGOs, will continue to assist and work together with the MOH to expedite and maximise the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) Booster,” ProtectHealth stated in a recent press release.
