According to her via a statement today, the number of participants has increased to 14 this year, made up of villages under the Kuala Kangsar Parliamentary Constituency.

The objective of the programme is to keep the tradition alive among the younger generation and local community.

To add to the excitement of the festival, the Kuala Kangsar Land and District Office (PDTKK) and Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council (MPKK) collaborated to create a structure of oil lamps for the launching ceremony.

The collaboration was led by Mohd Fadzir, also known as Che Mat, who has 35 years of experience in the field at Kuala Kangsar.
