A total of 5 locations are allocated for the activities of e-waste collection in order to facilitate members of the public in sending the items.
According to a statement of the Ipoh City Council (MBI), the e-waste collection is implemented together with a licensed contractor appointed by the Department of Environment namely Edsha Solutions Sdn Bhd.
“The 5 selected locations according to parliamentary constituency are Ipoh Barat at the Rukun Tetangga Area of Bercham from 8.00am to 1.00pm; Batu Gajah at the Jelapang Public Hall from 8.00am to 1.00pm; Ipoh Timur at the Pasir Pinji Public Hall from 8.00am to 1.00pm; Gopeng at the site of Rapat Setia Night Market from 8.00am to 1.00pm and Tambun at the Rukun Tetangga Area of Padang Lintau Manjoi from 8.00am to 1.00pm.
“To increase participation and as an appreciation to members of the public who participate, the MBI, in collaboration with Edsha Solutions Sdn Bhd, is offering lucky draw prizes throughout the campaign.
“All participants who send e-waste to the collection centres will receive a cash token according to the price of the item set by the licensed contractor.
Interested members of the public can refer to the infographic posters distributed via the social media and portal of the MBI.
The activities of e-waste collection are among the programmes of the state-level celebration of the National Environment Day 2022.
The collection will be carried out continuously every Saturday and Sunday of the third week every month beginning May 21 till November 30.
