A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was established between XOX Berhad and Frontier Resources Sdn Bhd (Frontier) in order to provide high-speed internet to the people in Ipoh.
The MoU was signed during a Raya celebration with the media at M Roof Hotel yesterday.
XOX is a public listed telecommunications company.
The MoU was signed by Mayor, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin; Chairperson of XOX Berhad, Dato’ Seri Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi and Chairperson of Frontier, Mohammad Bashir.
Via this agreement, Frontier will open two kiosks at Wisma MBI and Ipoh UTC as well as several other locations to further expand its services.
Presently, XOX Berhad is the only mobile telco provider that offers 28 months prepaid validity.
According to Abdul Azim, this is in line with its aim to provide affordable telco services to all.
“We are confident that the people will benefit from the service provided.
“Together with other business partners, this cooperation is the first step of our aim to make Ipoh a progessive city.
Meanwhile, Mohamad stated that the collaboration with MBI will enable his party to offer affordable telco services to more people, especially the B40 group.
