The Ipoh District Police Headquarters carried out a traffic enforcement operation along Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab in Ipoh today (May 27).
Implemented by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, the aim of the operation was to increase the awareness of road users on the importance of compliance with traffic lights to ensure the safety of all including pedestrians.
According to a recent Facebook post of the Ipoh District Police, road accident statistics showed that red light violation is the main cause of accidents along Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab.
Throughout the operation, a total of 17 traffic summons of RM300 each were issued.
