Ipohites are invited to share their ideas and proposals for the 2023 Budget which is currently being prepared.
This is to ensure the 2023 Budget by the Ipoh City Council (MBI) is inclusive.
The ideas and suggestions can be submitted via the official website of the MBI or its QR code from today till 30 June 2023.
Mayor, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud said Ipohites should use this platform fully as it may be used as an input in the preparation of the budget.
“The budget involves programmes on social and physical development, planning control, city services and others for the wellbeing of all.
He said so in his speech during the MBI full board meeting for the month of May today at the MBI meeting hall.
He added that till May 23, the MBI has obtained a revenue of RM109.3 million or 49% compared to the estimated revenue for year 2022 which is RM221 million.
Meanwhile, the collected amount is RM128.2 million or 58% from the estimated amount.
According to him, the amount included current collection, arrears and earlier collection till
May 23.
“Overall, the council has spent based on the limits of the budget and is still under control.
“The overall expenditure of the council till mid May 2022 is RM81.8 million or 35% with payment transactions totalling 3,345 vouchers,” he stated.
