Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad informed the matter in his speech when officiating the 35th general meeting of PPKM at the Perak Darul Ridzuan Building recently.
“We agreed to contribute RM50,000 to PPKM this year. As there are nine branches in Perak, we further provide each branch with RM10,000. Thus, the total is RM140,000.
“It is hoped to be used for the organisation of beneficial activities and programmes for the pensioners.
Present were State Secretary, Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim; Deputy State Secretary (Development), Halizah Sipun and the Yang Dipertua Negeri of PPKM Perak, Dato’ Mohamed Hamzah.
During his speech, Mohamed shared some information on the organisation.
“This association was established 50 years ago at national, state and district levels.
“In Perak, we have nine branches. The districts of Muallim and Batang Padang share a branch. The same goes for Kinta and Kampar as well as Hilir Perak and Bagan Datuk.
“We are grateful to the state government for constantly caring for the association and we will continue to serve the community.
