The Friday Biryani Project of the Taiping Municipal Council continued in collaboration with Syarikat Riverstone Sdn Bhd for several groups of residents last Friday.
Among them were the residents of Chrystal Home, Kampung Peng Long and the homeless around the town of Taiping.
The Friday Biryani Project, a programme of the council, has been held on the last Friday every month since March last year.
It aims to help those in need by offering them a packet of biryani rice to brighten their day.
It also opens up opportunities for members of the public, corporations, non-governmental organisations (NGO) or anyone to contribute.
The council expressed gratitude to the representative of Syarikat Riverstone for the cooperation in making the session a success.
