MBI Begins Clean-Up Operations in Baling
Floods and flash floods recently struck Baling, Kedah. In the blink of an eye, not only were houses and other properties destroyed, but lives were lost to the heavy current of the flood waters.
Following these disasters, many came forward to help the victims. Not just in providing food, but also basic necessities to help them survive.
The Ipoh City Council (MBI) is no exception, as they also sent aid to Baling, to assist in the clean-up operations of badly affected areas.
MBI Secretary, Ahmad Munir Ishak, who led the aid convoy, also went down to the field to ensure that the mission would be run smoothly.
The use of 4-Wheel drive vehicles and MBI lorries, also helped to facilitate the task of transporting damaged goods and materials, which resulted from the floods.
This is not the first time that such an aid mission has been initiated, as the MBI has previously extended aid to other states such as Selangor and Pahang; back when they were also hit by floods.
