Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad was appointed as the President of the Perak State Scout Council (MPNP) at a brief ceremony held at the Perak State Secretary’s Office last Tuesday. He was also awarded the Paddy Spirit Star, Perak Second Class (BSP II) in addition to his certificate of appointment as President of MPNP.
BSP II is the second highest award bestowed upon a distinguished figure. It’s a very limited and exclusive distinction, whereby the recipients only consist of state and national leaders, as well as scout leaders who have sufficient accomplishments.
Also receiving the certificate of appointment was the Executive Councillor for Education, Higher Education and Human Resource, Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud who was appointed as the Vice President of MPNP. Ahmad Saidi also received the BSR II.
Apart from that, Parit Member of Parliament, Dato ‘Mohd Nizar Zakaria was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of MPNP.
The Menteri Besar and Members of the Perak State Scout Council, including the Chief Executive Officer of the Perak State Agriculture Development Corporation (Perak SADC), Haji Yahanis Yahya were also invited to renew the Scout Charter at the ceremony.
