The public are reminded not to forget to comply with the Covid-19 prevention SOP following the increase in reported cases.
The CovidNow portal recorded 5,330 cases yesterday, compared to 4,204 cases on Tuesday, which is up by 1,126.
CovidNow portal data recorded 10 deaths with one being a case of death outside the hospital facility or brought-in-dead (BID).
As for active cases of Covid-19, it recorded a total of 46,523 cases while 44,885 or 96.5 percent of them were individuals quarantined at home.
A total of 29 patients are in the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC), while 1,560 are in hospital with 49 patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
Of that number, 34 patients needed breathing aids, while another 15 needed ventilators.
Recovered cases were recorded at 3,075.
