Much to the relief of the residents, the Ipoh City Council (MBI) has initiated road paving in Zone 14, covering six locations that suffered damage recently.
When contacted, MBI Councilor of Zone 14, Prof. Dr. Richard Ng said the paved road involved Persiaran Tokong and part of Jalan Foo Eng Lin. Including Jalan Holnberg, Jalan Ng Kheng Tan, Housing Trust, Jalan Bunga Kala, Jalan Bunga Kemuning and part of Jalan Anggerik, Taman Pinji.
He also said that most of the roads in Zone 14 suffered severe damage after not being paved for more than 20 years.
“Therefore, I have submitted the complaints of the residents here to the MBI, after Zone 14 was left out of the list of roads that needed to be repaired.
“Thankfully, MBI has finally approved the request to pave four roads in Zone 14, which really needed roads in good condition for its users,” he added.
He said the estimated length of the road at the Housing Trust is approximately 400 meters, with the total length of the road at approximately 1.8 Km.
“On behalf of the residents, I thank the Ipoh City Council for fulfilling my request to help Zone 14,” he said.
