The immediate response of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) was commended when it acted following a complaint regarding a large tree at Persiaran Simpang Pulai 5 here.
Residents had previously complained about a large tree next to the Simpang Pulai market that posed a safety risk.
Gopeng Parliamentary MCA coordinator, Cally Ting said her party had referred the complaint to MBI who then responded immediately.
“Thank you to MBI, for its quick response in cutting the tree branches to ensure the safety of the public.
“The cleaning work that was done, puts the worries of the local population at ease, especially the people who visit the market,” she said.
According to Cally, the MCA Gopeng Infra Special team is always responsive to any complaints involving the local community, and they strive to ensure that they deal with the issues immediately.
“We will continue to work hard and speak out #DemiKesejahteraanGopeng,” she said.
In another development, MCA Gopeng also successfully organised a fundraising campaign for a man, Mr. Tu, to replace his damaged prosthetic leg.
The effort has received attention from the community and the public, including the Chin Seng Kok Charity Association, Cameron Highland.
“Thank you to the members of the association who generously donated RM2,000 to Mr. Tu.
“I hope the public can also come forward and help Mr. Tu,” she said.
