A trailer driver was injured after the vehicle he was driving skidded at Kilometer 271.2 heading north and plunged onto the Federal Road, Jalan Kuala Kangsar today.
According to Acting Perak Police Chief, Datuk Azizi Mat Aris, the incident which happened around 12.40 in the afternoon was caused by the trailer having brake problems.
He said the victim, D. Kumar, 50, who was the driver of the trailer with no load, only suffered minor injuries.
Previously, a video and photo showing a trailer plunging into a bridge near Jalan Kuala Kangsar went viral on social media.
The accident also caused damage to a car that happened to pass through the road.
It is understood that following that, the traffic was congested for road users who wanted to go to Tasek and Chemor. They were advised to use alternative routes to get to those destinations.
