Dato’ Mohd. Yusri Hj. Hassan Basri has now been appointed as the new Perak Police Chief, replacing the retired Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid.
Yesterday, the ceremony of receiving the title of Police Commissioner was completed by the Chief of Police, Tan Sri Acryl Sani.
The ceremony was held at the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Senior Officer’s Mess, Perak Contingent Police Headquarters.
Mohd. Yusri, who previously held the position of Pahang Deputy Chief of Police, is entrusted by the PDRM leadership to lead the Perak Police.
Originating from Teluk Intan, he joined PDRM 31 years ago.
Speaking at the ceremony, Acryl Sani congratulated Mohd Yusri on his appointment as the new Perak Police Chief.
“This appointment was made wisely after considering the credibility and leadership power possessed by Dato’ Mohd Yusri to shoulder the responsibility entrusted to him”, he said.
