The state government through Perak Children’s Aspiration Centre (PASAK) today held a pre-launch ceremony for job applications known as Talent Perak.
This is an online career platform to make it easier for job seekers to find job opportunities in the state.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said, the sealing was completed in conjunction with the Youth Friendly Carnival (KAMU) which took place at Indera Mulia Stadium.
Through this method, he said, users only need to download this application on their respective mobile phones through the Google Play Store and they can then search for vacant positions.
“The search is made according to demographic categories, industry, study and position level that are close to the distance of the user’s location.
“Talent Perak is currently in the Beta version stage and PASAK will seek input and feedback from users to ensure that the application can be accessed smoothly,” he said in a media statement today.
The development of the application is one of the state government’s ongoing efforts to focus on providing opportunities and preparing the skilled workforce needed by the industry.
In addition, this is to ensure that the marketability of graduates improves in line with the commitment of the state government in actively opening up new industrial areas.
According to Saarani, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) document exchange ceremony was also held today between PASAK, the Darul Ridzuan Institute (IDR) and the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).
He said it was to implement youth development programmes in the state of Perak.
“The MoU was signed by PASAK Director, Mohd Misbahul Munir Masduki; IDR Chief Executive, Dr Maisarah Ahmad and SOCSO Employment Insurance System Head, Azirruan Arifin.
“Through the MoU, the three entities will work together to continue and implement programmes in the form of career development, skills training and employment data coordination,” he explained.
This information will later be used in maintaining the state’s economic growth through the availability of talent and highly skilled labour in the state of Perak.
