Upcoming: National Final of Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant to Unfold in Ipoh This Friday
The national final of Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2022 will unfold in Ipoh for the first time ever on Friday, September 23 at the grand ballroom of MH Hotel Ipoh.
Its pre-event press conference was held today at the same hotel with the presence of Dato’ Mohd Odzman Abdul Kadir, President of Perak Tourism Association cum Advisor for the pageant, Tan Sri Danny Ooi, President of Miss Tourism International, Nurmalis Musa, CEO of Tourism Perak and others.
Aimed to promote tourism, culture and friendship, the unique contest incorporates three main Miss Malaysia Tourism titles namely Miss Malaysia Tourism 2022, Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year 2022 and Miss Malaysia Tourism Metropolitan 2022.
These top three winners will receive cash prizes and sponsored gifts worth over RM40,000 in total.
In addition, the 9 winners of subsidiary titles will each be awarded with a cash prize of RM1000, sash and trophy.
The platform will see a total of 16 finalists, who represent various states from all over Malaysia, competing for a spot in the world final to be held at Kuching, Sarawak in November.
Organised by Adonia Media, the exciting event is supported by Tourism Perak among others while its main sponsors include Shake & Bake Cafe, MH Hotel Ipoh and CHK Hair Academy.
On the days leading up to the coronation night, the amiable finalists have been making special appearances at multiple tourist attractions in Perak to promote the state’s #TravelPerakLah campaign. For instance, Adeline Resort, Gopeng Museum, Kellie’s Castle, The Kandu @ Tempurung Valley and more.
Besides that, the contestants will be participating in charitable activities such as a collaboration with the Night Shelter for the Homeless for the “Miss Malaysia Tourism – Because We Care” corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
To be hosted by notable emcee, KT Pillai, the national final will feature a grand gala dinner which begins at 7pm.
