An Operational Sea Training Exercise (OSTEX West 2/22) was carried out from September 21 till 28 by the Western Fleet Headquarters (MPA Barat) via its N5 division.
The strategic communications department of the MPA Barat of Lumut, in a recent statement, informed that the OSTEX West was implemented at Lumut and the Strait of Malacca.
The statement informed that it served as a platform to test the efficiency of the ‘Pangkor War’ exercise which had been carried out in 39 series this year.
“It is to increase the readiness of the assets and the competency of the navy (TLDM) in the aspect of maritime warfare.
