A blood donation programme will be held at the Carsem Hall of Kampung Melayu Sungai Rapat in Ipoh tomorrow (Sunday, October 2) from 8.30am till 1pm.
It is organised by members of the Ipoh City Council (MBI), Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) and Residents Relations Committee (JPP) of Zone 21 in collaboration with Papisma, NGO Permai and NGO Kawan among others.
First-time donors, especially the youth, are encouraged to donate to maintain a sufficient blood supply.
Blood donors are entitled to medical privileges as set by the Ministry of Health.
These privileges will be continuous as long as the donor is actively donating blood according to the prescribed period.
