Foreigners flock to Ipoh for festivities
Last Sunday afternoon, Ipoh City Council Member (MBI), Counsellor Dr. Richard Ng held a walkabout session at Concubine Lane, Ipoh, during his field trip and came across a group of foreign tourists. He also chatted with some tourists from France and noticed it was very crowded.
Through sharing on Facebook, he said that the long holiday saw Ipoh busy with these foreign guests.
“We celebrate their arrival, especially foreign tourists. Many are attracted here because of the diversity in Ipoh.
“We have many interesting places besides food and culture,” he said.
As soon as the long holiday seasons hit, such as festival holidays, Ipoh is sure to be inundated with non-local visitors, including foreign tourists. The uniqueness and special features of Ipoh city is like a magnet that attracts foreign visitors, not to mention, a stay in this city will certainly not disappoint.
On the morning of the same day, Dr. Richard was present to inaugurate the Ink Brush Painting Exhibition at the premises of 22 Hale Street Ipoh.
“I am honoured to be given the opportunity to inaugurate this exhibition and to meet some personalities I know from Perak and Penang.
“I also witnessed the skill of the Chinese brush painter, Sifu Han Biao. A number of his paintings were exhibited for public viewing,” he said.
This exhibition was organised by Black Lotus Productions and the Lions Club of Ipoh Elite to promote the art of Chinese painting.
