To honour the late educator, Dato’ Seri Dr. N. S. Selvamany, a road has been named as Jalan Dato’ Seri Dr. N. S. Selvamany by the Ipoh City Council (MBI).
The newly named road is located off Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah in Ipoh City.
The road naming was proposed by the St. Philomena Education Foundation in December 2019. And in great honour, the road sign board was placed on October 29, 2022. Three years from the date of passing of the late Dato’ Seri N.S. Selvamany, who passed away on October 29, 2019.
MBI Councillor S. Jayagobi played a role in getting the road named in honour of the late Dato’ Seri N.S. Selvamany.
The secretary of St. Philomena Education Foundation, K. Nachemutu, thanked the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud, the city councillors as well as the officers of MBI for approving the road name and placing the sign board.
