The corpse of a local man was found lying next to a house in Kampung Cik Zainal, Chemor yesterday morning.
The body of the victim, who was around 40 years old, was noticed by his neighbour at 11.30 in the morning and it was found that the victim was unconscious.
Perak Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said, preliminary examination by forensic experts from Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) Ipoh found that the estimated time of death of the victim was about 12 hours.
“On November 15 at around 11.50am, the police received information from the public that a local man was found unconscious and suspected to be dead.
“The victim was found next to a house in Kampung Cik Zainal, Chemor.
“This case is classified as sudden death pending the autopsy results scheduled for today,” he said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
In this regard, he said, the police asked the public who have any information about the case to contact the Senior Investigating Officer, Criminal Investigation Division, Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) ASP Fadli Ahmad, on 019-2500019 to assist with the investigation.
