The Perak state government has not yet been finalised due to no party getting the majority of seats to enable the formation of a single government.
Therefore, a coalition government needs to be formed to enable a stable state government to be established.
Currently Perikatan Nasional (PN) which obtained 26 seats needs to merge with Barisan Nasional (BN) which actually has 9 seats.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) won 24 seats.
Deputy Chairman of Perak PN, Razman Zakaria, Razman Zakaria said, Perak PN will discuss with BN to form the state government.
According to him, the matter will be finalised as soon as possible to enable the state government to be formed immediately.
“We have made it very clear that we will not be with Pakatan Harapan (PH), no Anwar, no DAP.
“The space we have now is our friends who are in BN.
“Discussions will be held,” he told reporters at a press conference early this morning.
He stressed that PN will make every effort to ensure that the government is formed as soon as possible.
Until now, the official results of the DUN competition in Perak have not yet been obtained with PN reportedly leading.
In the last 14th General Election, PKR won 29 seats followed by BN 27 seats and Pas 3.
