Chairman of the Perak State Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee YB Tuan Loh Sze Yee, today officiated the CNY Bazaar, Lorong Seni@Lorong Panglima Ipoh this morning.
Loh Sze Yee said the CNY Bazaar takes place during the week in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
“For today, a total of 15 stalls are operating and it is expected to increase over the next week.
“This morning we witnessed various events held including lion dance and drum performances, singing and sales.
“I hope that all levels of our multiracial community can benefit from this CNY Bazaar programme.
“The organisation of this programme is also expected to promote the Visit Ipoh Year 2023 as well as celebrate the Chinese New Year 2023,” he said after the opening ceremony was held with the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud.
Also present was the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa.
