From tomorrow, 22nd till the 29th of January, residents and visitors in Ipoh are in for a treat.
Rickshaws are back!
And you can hire one at only RM40 for two people. Visitors can get a close-up view of the streets around Old Town on the Cycledios “Ipoh Heritage Tour. This 20 – 30 min tour is a leisurely way to see our charming city, is environmentally friendly and perfect for taking photos. Sitting in a Rickshaw truly allows for reliving Ipoh’s former life and literally, breathing in the past.
These pedal powered rickshaws will be driven by college students who are making it their business to learn as much as they can about their city and to share it with anyone who wants to hop on to see some popular cultural heritage sites and some quietly hidden gems. These 18-year-olds are the first batch of “Ipoh Ambassadors” from Cycledios business platform. More on that story to come.
