Cosplay Event at Mydin Meru in February

Ipoh’s cosplay scene continues to heat up with the Cosworld Festival coming to the Mydin Meru Ipoh departmental store from 10 to 12 February. Located just opposite the Amanjaya Bus Terminal, the location offers easy access for out of town cosplayers.

Starting with the Cosplay Party at Ipoh Parade back in June last year, the months closing off 2022 have had frequent pop culture events, which featured contemporary art, toys and gaming. But cosplay had been a highlight in all these events, drawing scores and even hundreds of cosplayers; many of whom from Perak itself.

The upcoming Cosworld Festival promises to keep the momentum going with guests like Moon and Akie Ki, with Zimther as emcee and prizes up for grabs for those participating.

11 Feb will feature the Cosworld Festival Runway competition, which is free for registration and welcomes any anime, cartoon & tokusatsu (ACT) cosplayer. The competition will run from 2 pm to 6pm.
