Ar-Ridzuan Hospital and ReGen Rehab Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in health provision related to rehabilitation treatment, today.
This memorandum is to establish cooperation to provide rehabilitation facilities at Ar-Ridzuan Hospital.
ReGen Rehab Hospital is the first private rehabilitation hospital in the country located in Section 13, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
General Manager of Ar-Ridzuan Hospital, Dahari Masud said that the provision of this treatment will further diversify the services at the hospital.
According to him, through the expertise of both parties, this collaboration is expected to empower individuals with special needs towards a healthier and better life quality.
According to the 2022 Health Data Report by the Malaysian Ministry of Health, nearly 2.8 million patients receive rehabilitation treatment in Malaysia.
“The increase in the rate of patients requiring rehabilitation treatment shows the need for the provision of comprehensive facilities and services, especially in the north of the Peninsula.
“In addition to regular patients, we will also offer rehabilitation treatment to military veterans in Perak who have had to go to Tuanku Mizan Hospital, Kuala Lumpur,” he said.
He said this at a press conference after signing the MoU at the Royal Perak Golf Club.
The MoU was signed between Dahari representing Ar-Ridzuan Hospital while ReGen Rehab Hospital was represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Hanafi Salehuddin.
This strategic collaboration also has the support of Ar-Ridzuan Hospital’s parent company, which is the Islamic Economic Development Corporation of the State of Perak (PKEINPk) Sdn. Bhd. (PSB).
PSB is responsible for economic development in the state of Perak and also as the economic wing of the Perak Council of Islamic Religion and Malay Customs (MAIPk).
