The Malaysian Indian Youth Council (MIYC) Perak will be holding a Unity Ponggal Festival on 28 January (Saturday) at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Buntong, from 8 am to 1 pm.
Various events are planned for the celebration of this end of harvest season festival. These include cooking ponggal, doing kolam drawing and colouring contests for children under 7. Prizes will also be available.
Those wishing to participate should register as slots are limited and so that the organisers can prepare the materials for the ponggal cooking and kolam drawing.
