By PCSH
In line with the celebration of Chinese New Year, Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) brought cheer to elderly residents of Pusat Jagaan Rumah Seri Bahagia and down syndrome orphans from Pusat Jagaan Yayasan Latihan Insan Istimewa as part of the hospital’s corporate social responsibility project which has been celebrated over the years. This year, the celebration was more meaningful with the collaboration of an Insurance Partner.
On 2nd February, a team of 20 management staff lead by Mr. Nicholas Chan, Chief Executive Officer from Perak Community Specialist Hospital together with the Insurance Partner lead by Mr Herbert Lee started a Chinese New Year visit at Pusat Jagaan Rumah Seri Bahagia. A total of 39 old folks, from 63 to 95 years old, reside at the home. Bags of various goodies and sundries were put together with love and care together with an ang pow presentation by Mr. Nicholas Chan.
The team continued their journey to Pusat Jagaan Yayasan Latihan Insan Istimewa which has 32 autism and down syndrome orphans aged between 8 to 58 years old. The team has contributed various goodies, sundries and distribution of mandarin oranges as well as ang pow, which symbolise the sharing of abundance and good fortune.
Mr Nicholas Chan, Chief Executive Officer of PCSH said, “The Chinese New Year (CNY) festivities are often a boisterous, joy filled affair as family members come together in celebration. For some however, the occasion can also be a time of increased loneliness. Caring for the underprivileged and the community is always an important responsibility for the hospital. Giving a Future of Love and Hope to those in need is all that matters.”
